Radicalism and Conflict in Middle East

The appearing radicalism and extremism caused by the dissolving case in Middle East. The violence in Iraq is still occurred until now and there is no signal for the conflict would be end. The suicide bomb explodes every day. The bomb is the expression disappointment of certain group of Muslim toward other, and the bomb purposed to group of people who hold the authority and suspected united with foreign troops (America and its alliance).

The Political Crisis
The happened radicalism caused by American fail in solving political crisis after the overthrow Saddam Hussein the president of Iraq in last 2003. Basically, the overthrow of Saddam Hussein is the inappropriate policy. The forced changing of Iraq is just creates political crisis apprehensively. The democracy couldn’t be created in Iraq, inverse the violence and chaos situation occurred.


Beside the American protection for Israel’s savagery toward Lebanon in war for about a month- and Palestine is also trigger radicalism, as showed in Palestine’s militancy in against the troops of Israel that some of them use suicide bomb. In global level, especially in Islam, radicalism and fundamentalism become strengthen a long with conflict occurred in Middle East. America and other’s Western countries believed involved-even suspected as the conflict’s background and take some beneficial in the conflict. It isn’t strange if Bush’s visiting in Indonesia welcomed by demonstration anti-America. Actually its demonstration was dealing with Bush’s policy in Middle East by its cowboy style. The bomb terror occurred on the last five years in some countries included Indonesia is also motivated by American policy toward Middle East. It can be seen from the bomb target and organization that design the terror.

Most of demonstration toward Bush caused by “hard power” approach that used by Bush in its policy for Middle East. The International societies are still remembering about Bush’s attack and damage Afghanistan and Iraq with the bomb from land and sky. By the reason war against terrorism, America do serious attack toward the nation’s suspected protects and cost terrorist.

It Hasn’t Success
So far, “hard power” approach hasn’t brings the satisfied fruit. Osama bin Laden believed by America hide in Afghanistan couldn’t success to be founded. Even Osama resistance getting higher that showed by its challenging throw video toward American aggression. In similar with American accusation toward Iraq that support the nuclear weapon for terrorism, didn’t bring the significant evident. Even Iraq doesn’t have such weapon.

The American policy has smeared the humanity. By the reason war against terrorism, America has spread the fear and violence in Iraq and Afghanistan. The military approach couldn’t solve the humanity issues. Even it just creates the new violence. Demonstration done to refuse the coming of Bush becomes the signal that his policy has smeared the humanity values. Beside the demonstration is an expression of universal humanity solidarity.

For that reason, the America should change their policy toward Middle East, and participate in creating the peaceful in Middle East actively. The Muslim’s misunderstand about the concept of jihad is also caused by the Western injustice toward Islam. Basically, the struggle to straighten the Muslim’s point of view about jihad is not only done by internal Muslim, but also by solving the conflict in Middle East and change American policy to be the better one.
